Shaping the Debate on Poland's strategic future

As Poland prepares for one of its most consequential defence procurement decisions, the debate is expanding beyond military capability to encompass industrial policy, technological sovereignty and long-term economic value.

Przemysław Krych is helping shape the national debate by bringing an investor's perspective to one of Poland's biggest strategic decisions - how defence spending can support both national security and economic growth.

At Business Centre Club's debate, "The Second Tranche of Combat Aircraft for Poland: Capabilities, Funding and Industry," Krych joined leading representatives of government, defence and business to discuss how Poland's next aircraft programme should deliver not only military capability, but also technology transfer, stronger involvement of Polish industry and long-term benefits for the economy.

During the discussion, Krych pointed to the lessons learned from Poland's F-16 programme, stressing that future defence investments should create lasting value for the Polish economy by giving domestic companies a meaningful role in major procurement projects.

The debate featured a distinguished panel representing government, defence, business and investment, including Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak, Member of the European Parliament Michał Szczerba, former Minister of Finance and BCC Chief Economist Paweł Wojciechowski, NATO mission commander and military aviation expert Major Robert Gałązka, and Przemysław Krych, Founder of Cornerstone Investment Management.
